Sports - "Fit for the Future programme"

We, at NGA, encourage students to participate in sports activities not only for enjoyment and exercise but for building essential skills. Playing a sport shapes a child in a positive way instilling a sense of self-worth. Students get an opportunity to explore a variety of sports that they wish to pursue, both to excel in or as a hobby. Our fitness-focused approach covers a range of topics on physical activities and nutrition to keep our students healthy, moving, and learning. Here’s how it helps:

  • Physical fitness: Athletic activities develop stamina, strength, speed, motor skill, and flexibility.
  • Instills good values: Sports demand discipline in lifestyle and eating habits. It also helps deal with the concerns of the gender gap and generation gap and embeds the value of respect and obedience.
  • Builds self-esteem: Children taking part in sports tend to be socially active, and confident and are able to maintain healthy peer relationships.
  • Promotes alertness and information retention: Sports optimizes the mindset to be attentive to the changes around and gather new information. This means, the brain is trained to be ever-ready to learn, and it also retains information.
